I Hope

I hope that I can always hear the voice of the Teacher, can sometimes be needed by my adult children, and can never pass gas in the reception line for one of my grand children.

I hope that people see me for how much of a man I have become, how faithful of a friend I am, how good of a worker I try to be, how strong of a family man I demonstrate, and not for my height, not for the color of my hair (or skin), not for the sound of my voice, and not for the money in my pocket.

I hope that the most interesting man in the world has something more interesting to say than, “Stay thirsty my friends.” Even on a Happy Friday.
