We are a hardy people, here in Northeast Ohio. We endure a lot of challenging weather. I have watched the radar many times and have been amazed at what I see. We have all heard about Lake effect, and how moisture will be picked up from the lake and dumped once it moves onto the land, meaning over us! Precipitation seems to also pop up 50 miles west of us on the map and dump as it moves across. I remember while golfing it started to rain on us. I looked at the radar and said it would stop in 10 minutes, which it did, and showed no more rain behind it. Then 20 minutes later more rain. The group said what happened? I looked at the radar again and we all watched the past hour. Here came a small area rain, swept over us to the northeast. Then it turned northwest, circled around, and come back across the lake to hit us again. No joke, the same rain cloud hit us twice!!

So with that in mind, I thought a little humor was in order. Mainly because I am looking at the wet ground while typing this, and I spent the last 30 minutes looking up rainfall data, which stated that so far this year we have had 54 wet days out of 111. Every other day? We need a break from this.

Robin: Batman, why are we here?

Batman: Because the batsignal was lit here, Robin.

Robin: Then why are we here in Cleveland?

Batman: Cleveland has had a lot of rainfall this year, Robin, with too many cloudy days. And it is raining again today.

Robin: Holy backstroke, Batman, what are we gonna do?

Batman: It is a good thing I had these flotation armbands installed on my bat-suit.

(Touches armband) pshhhheeeewwt

Robin: Ah, Batfish floaties. Nice, but I don’t have any armbands, Batman.

Batman: Check your utility belt, green button.

(presses button) sssqqqquuuuiiiffff

Robin: Square pants, Batman?

Batman: Yes, and made with a special material Alfred designed.

Robin: Feels like a sponge. Do sponges float?

Batman: No, Robin, but the kids will love you.  Let’s go!
