If I mysteriously come to have five or six million dollars, you may very well see me on Tree House Masters.

I love being in the trees. My back yard has a solid woods area going down the ravine to a level area. To be sitting up in the trees surrounded by the prevalence of nature, it could give you the feeling of being on an entirely different planet. Soaring over the tree tops, running beneath through the leaves, or chattering amongst the branches, nature will be a spectacular show through any stay in the treehouse. Best part about a treehouse, is stepping outside of it to be in the tree.

Now I need to tell you that the only tree house I have been in is a set of boards precariously perched in a not nearly big enough tree, with the exit being jumping to a small neighboring tree and riding the bend to the ground. All we had were a few scrap boards, the same scrap boards year after year, and no knowledge of how to make it safely stay in the tree. So my love for being in the trees is not from a tree house.

Rather it is from … being in the trees.

This is not fantasizing about being a kid again. Yet, while I’m there I might as well. I would always sit on branches, climb to the top, drop from the bottom branch, or hang upside down with my legs around a branch. If we weren’t playing baseball or Monopoly outside, then I was probably in a tree.

What I love most is experiencing being in the trees. I climbed one of the pine trees in my back yard just 5 years ago to cut a second tree that had grown up right next to it though inside its branches. I stayed there longer to get a better picture and video of my house, though that was just an excuse to be in a tree. Since it was about 90 degrees, I stayed there until I got too thirsty. It is an experience I cherish.

I need to apply this principle to more areas within my life, but I believe that we have applied this to going on vacations. Go to a new place for the experience. The room should not be the best part of being on a vacation. Or the food. Hopefully, if it is a resort, experiencing all the resort has plus the surrounding area will make the vacation special.
