Aaah, Refreshing

Took a cool sip of my Diet Coke, and it got me thinking.

First, about Coca Cola. I own 1 share of the Coca Cola Company stock. Each year I tell my tax man that my Coke share made 32 cents, please include it. He gives me a good smile.

Really what it got me thinking about was drink.

I did not forget to add something to that word, but intentionally did that to leave you hanging.

The problem is drink is one of our words that is both a verb and a noun. I like to drink my Diet Coke, but I already drank my 8 oz or I would have drunk more.

I like to think about odd things, but because I already thank about Diet Coke, I will stick with that or I would have thunk about more things. Hmmm.

Drink simply means to swallow a liquid. The noun is any liquid that you drink. Makes sense. Then we can ‘drink in’ the atmosphere of the celebration after Cleveland has won the baseball World Series in 2024.

Adding a small word ‘in’ to our verb ‘drink’ makes it mean to take in eagerly with the senses or mind. Some people mind when I give definitions of words, but you might already mand my talk of Diet Coke unless you too have a share in Coca Cola stock, then you may not mund at all where this perspective has wandered.

Maybe I should shrink this post down before…..never mind. Or is it mand?

I hope you have a Happy Friday.
