What a wondrous time of year. The music, the decorations, and the treats make for a special season even if there are no other reasons. Somehow in the business of all the pressing matters surrounding preparations for the holiday, I got to wondering and wandering. Allow me to share some thoughts with Christmas coming this week.

Wondering how many Christmas trees fall or get knocked over each year. Do people just put them back up (like I did a couple of years ago) or do some give up and toss the thing?

Sharing empathy an compassion for many who are not with a loved one for the first time this year.

Wondering if any other dads felt obligated to eat all of the cookies put out for Santa. Not so much about the milk.

Always sending warm thoughts to those who are wandering without a place to be this holiday.

Wondering whether there are other people who have a affinity for the camels at the Nativity scene.

As soon as I started thinking about lights, I stopped, and blinked.

Wondering if anyone actually wanders into a Hallmark scene right before the holiday.

Wondering if there is enough peace to go around this Christmas to lead all of us to be there for someone who does not have peace in their life.
