I lost a student test
In the great unknown
“Look how you are dressed.”
I think I hear a ring tone.

Caught in the hall
Cause her locker is stuck
A 7^th grader that tall?
My stomach sounds like a truck

This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that’s getting to me lately
Always want my students to see
That 5 minus 8 does not make 3

This is the stuff that gets under my skin
Tomorrow I don’t know what we’ll be doing
Please don’t think that I’m a fool
But this is the stuff of school
